Light, a Key to Good Health
in Relation to the Three Lives of the Woman

BY ROELY ROELANDSE, THE NETHERLANDS

The following article is approached from three of the lives in a woman, which all need something different for one to feel well, fit and balanced. If you are not familiar with the nature of these lives, please follow this link to a previous article

Water chrystal influenced by the quality of Love

It is important to ask ourselves all kinds of questions, for example, what is nutritious food and what gives us energy for health? Is the energy we obtain from food, drink and breathing our only food, or do we also feed ourselves with the impressions we get by way of the senses, thoughts, emotions, feelings and contact with other people? How can we nourish the mental, emotional, psychological, soul and spirit lives within us, which give us consciousness? Are there maybe emotions and thought processes that we would be better off not having? With this article I want ‘to shed some light on’ the importance of light (energy) in relation to nourishment and our various inner lives.

Light as Nourishment

A very important and perhaps unexpected source of food is light. Light is able to permeate everything. It is an energy substance that is present in all matter. Colour and sound are in fact, already forms of matter; although very refined. It is even true that all matter is made of concentrated light, and therefore our food is also made up of light, as do human emotions and qualities contain light. There is a Dutch saying about a child being born, ‘to first see the light of day’.

Light is energy, and living organisms on earth cannot do without it! Light’s energy gives us warmth and food. All world religions speak of light as being of vital importance. The bible says, ‘And God said, “ Let there be light” and there was light’. The Kabala, the Jewish mystical tradition, teaches that everything is divine light in physical form. The Koran, the book of Islam says that, ‘God is the light of the heavens and the earth’. The Buddhists too reach out for ‘spiritual enlightenment’. Most religions practice celebrations of light. Life begins with light and is maintained by light.

Light also contains information for we are able to ‘enlighten someone’ to the fact of something. Language is full of beautiful expressions such as ‘now I am beginning to see the light’, ‘to shine some light on something’ and ‘bring to light’. Another one is ‘to make light of ’. In Dutch we sometimes say, ‘That person is no light’ or people ‘speak according to their lights’. We now and then say, ‘In the light of…’ or you can just see someone ‘light up’ and when they feel well and bright they seem to look lighter as well. Just to mention a few ‘shining examples’. When white light reaches the Earth, it is divided into the seven colours of the spectrum, which all have different frequencies. Someone who is sound in body and mind radiates a beautiful ‘rainbow body’, which can be seen in the aura, the electromagnetic field around our body. Our feelings produce colours in the aura, and to see the aura is a brilliant sight, it has the most diverse colour gradations. In a certain way we can regard light as food and its colours as vitamins.

Light and water are both important components that we cannot do without. It is known that in the energy of light higher frequencies are at work, which have the effect of causing order. Water has a large capacity for holding information, including the ‘information’ belonging to the frequency of light, and it is able to adopt the frequency of its surroundings. As our bodies are made up of 70-80% water, it is very important how the cells are aligned, so that they take in the right frequencies. Music, light, colour, good food, sports, relaxation and love do have an aligning and stimulating effect on our cells, and they all involve a powerful stream of life energy. It seems that in moments when we are happy, our cells release a ‘nectar’ and also become ‘ happy’. Happiness instantly raises the level of ‘vibration’ or frequency of our cells, whilst sadness instantly lowers this vibration and causes the cells to release toxic substances. The spiritual and physical state of a moment determines the quality of the life energy of that moment.

A good, wholehearted laugh can instigate a fast energy vibration, which not only influences the cells of one’s own body, but also the cells of others. It reduces stress, relaxes the muscles, lowers the blood pressure and heartbeat and it strengthens the immune system at the same time. Depression and negative emotions, on the other hand, weaken our immunity. We can affect our immune system by taking in more ‘light’ and the right kind of colours, in order to become more beautiful, energised and radiant human beings.

Practical Suggestions for the Three Lives within Us

The following suggestions are for you to choose from, according to what you think you can use or what is right for your own balances and needs.

The Female

© Feminenza 2003You can compare the life of the ‘Female’ to a child who reacts spontaneously and from her feelings. She wants to do her very best and wants to accomplish all her tasks.

She is in need of support, love, encouragement and reward. The ‘ Female’ does not care very much about her diet, she likes to have whatever she wants, and she can become overweight because of this. It doesn’t really matter to her. Also she learns without effort, like a child would, by trial and error, she is filled with natural confidence. She rests when she needs to and is able to throw herself with abandon and without worry into any adventure that may come her way, or just happily be lost in whatever she is doing.

The ‘Female’ can easily fall prey to volatile emotions, and her repertoire of these is quite vast! As the Germans sometimes say, Himmelhoch jauchzend, zum Tode betrübt (Up one moment, down the next; red.).

Tips for the Female life

  • Spend time outside during the day in the sunlight (without getting burnt); it is good for the soul and the body, and in addition it works as an anti-depressant.
  • It is good to drink a lot of water, at least 1,5 - 2 litres a day. Coffee, tea and beverages with alcohol dehydrate the body and don’t count in this total. A traditional way to bring colour frequencies into the complex is to drink water out of a coloured bottle that has stood for several hours in the sun (Ayurveda, the oldest known health practise in the world, red.). The water is then charged with the frequency of that colour and taken directly to the tissues by the water. There are appliances now on the market which‘ vitalise’ ordinary tap water, which allows
the body to detoxify more easily.
  • Many disorders and complaints can be treated with homeopathic medicines. Homeopathy makes use of the fact that water stores information and has memory, thus retaining the ‘memory’ of past energy (see the book ‘Messages from Water’ by dr. Masuru Emoto).
  • It is wise to eat where possible, organic food and to take supplements. According to an article in the Dutch Magazine ‘Pharmacist and Health’ (June/July 2003), some important ‘healthkeepers’ among foods are cooked tomatoes, spinach, nuts, salmon, red wine, broccoli, oats, garlic, bilberries or blueberries and green tea.
  • It is also important to exercise, for example by walking, sports, yoga or Electrobics, which is a method of cleaning and revitalising the aura. Breathing exercises have a cleansing & energising effect. As an example, stretch up as far as possible whilst sitting down cross legged or standing, then bend forward and exhale all the way out. In this way waste is able to leave the body. In order to improve the flow of your life energy, shake your whole body as though you were ice-cold and trying to warm up, shaking loose your feet, legs, pelvis, abdomen, chest, shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. This intense movement loosens the tissues and muscles, and one’s energy flows freely, also any toxins can be expelled more quickly.
  • Relaxation prepares the body for the release of negative energy and stress; massage is good for this. The ears and the feet in particular have acupuncture and pressure points that affect all the body or‘ complex’, as it is also known. Massaging these areas can influence the connected organs or parts of the body, spreading and releasing one’s energy and thus causing relaxation.
  • © Feminenza 2003Touching or a hugging brings relief and is soothing. Through touch a polarisation of energy takes place, and that is why sometimes you can rub pain away. To give someone a ‘helping hand’ in this way can in itself be healing and relieve stress. To achieve this beneficial effect it is important to consider what the state is of the other person who gives you a helping hand (balance, energy, standards and so on). Animals accept themselves completely as they are, and us as well, and so the presence of, for example, a cat in the home can help bring balance and lower your blood pressure (unless you are allergic to cats).

Suggestions for the Female and the Woman

  • It is very important to give expression to your emotions and feelings, so don’t block yourself. Find a partner or a good friend, with whom it is safe to get things ‘off your chest’. This helps to regulate tensions that may build up from daily living. Good friendships are an excellent medicine. Research shows that talking things over with friends improves one’s mental health.
  • Rather than slimming, healthy eating in combination with a regular walk or exercise is the most effective way to lose weight and keep it off. Exercise strengthens the muscles and bones, prevents osteoporosis and arthrosis of the knees and is a remedy for depression as well. Movement also stimulates the centres of energy in the body.
  • Positive affirmations on a daily basis work wonderfully, for example, talk to yourself and smile at yourself in the mirror and confirm that you are a valuable and unique life.

The Woman

The ‘Woman’ in us plays an active role from puberty and this part of us approaches things with the mind and with common sense. She enjoys a balanced and healthy diet and watching what she eats. Her figure and posture are a few of the things she considers important. She likes to have everything under control and often has good stamina. As she has the tendency to bite off more than she can chew and often does not take time to rest when she needs it, she can at times, through tiredness, cause emotions that do her little good, due to the ‘Female’ in her rebelling against this way of living.

For healthy psychological development it is important for her to process and digest things well so she can come out stronger from any struggle. The development of skills and qualities, plus the warmth, reflections and encouragement that she receives from others bring fulfilment. The ‘Woman’ life in us can support and encourage the ‘Female’.

Tips for the Woman life

  • © Feminenza 2003 Every day make a list of the activities planned for that day, which you tick off when the task is completed. This gives real satisfaction. It does not matter what the items are, doing the washing-up, ironing, taking the children to school, going to the dentist, visiting someone, or doing a good job at work. At the end of the day tell yourself that you did all these things as well as you could, in spite of the resistance or obstacles you may have met. At this point it is good to reward the ‘ Female’ by taking time out for her, e.g. an enjoyable long bath, a sauna, going to the hairdresser, a massage or even maybe an appointment with a beautician.
  • It is very important to take care of your emotional well being. If you make a list of the emotions that you are prone to and the behaviours you will and will not allow, and read it regularly, it helps to reinforce what you want and bring order and balance to some of the feelings you experience.
  • Feelings tune us to specific colour frequencies, and when we radiate these we automatically tune into others on the same frequency. A bright, radiant person, brings more positive energy to themselves automatically. In this way we can weaken ourselves or make ourselves stronger.
  • If your mind and heart are not in harmony with each other, you consume huge amounts of energy. This causes exhaustion and imbalance and you may crave for cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol or sweet things (which are all artificial stimulants). Or you may neglect the more intuitive and sensitive side of yourself and become based more in your thinking. Instead of denying and battling with the ‘Female’ life, the intelligent ‘Woman’ makes sure she stays friends with her.
  • Be generous with yourself and your time without losing yourself. The Woman often has a tendency to become a drudge, so watch out that in caring for others you don’t use yourself up in the process.
  • If we worry, we leave these ‘vibes’ in the home. The atmosphere in the home can be cleaned with burning incense and by ringing a bell and then driving out any ‘static’ energy by airing the house. Moveable objects such as mobiles or crystals can activate and aid the energy whilst plants and flowers help bring life indoors. It is good to regularly change the interior, even just by moving furniture or other things around a bit. In doing so you alter the energy patterns that have built up over time. Everything is related to everything, from a physical object to an event. That is why our home, as well as our health, are in many ways a mirror image of our mind and being.

The Lady

© Feminenza 2003During the development of the ‘Female’, the‘ Woman’ and the ‘Lady’ lives within us, the emotions also make a development journey. If we develop the life of the ‘Lady’ (and this is not automatic), we learn to make much less of a fuss about petty things. We learn to forgive more quickly and to let go of certain things, because we see that negative and harmful processes can grow as quickly as weeds, and if they rule the day they will choke the many beautiful flowers in the garden of our life. In the life of the ‘Lady’, we gradually come to
reason things out less, and there is more ‘ knowing’. We take things not so personally and begin to learn that our misfortunes allow us to grow spiritually. The more the ‘Lady’ develops, the more she is able to get the ‘ Female’ and the ‘Woman’ to work together. A ‘Lady’ radiates what she has built in herself in the way of beautiful qualities. She tries to ensure that she has the right kind of process and that her focus is always on quality, values and standards.

A true ‘Lady’ does not take part in negative gossip, because she holds the best of people in mind and maintains (and custodians) her value for them. She has diplomacy, her emotions are intact and she is wise and perceptive. Her total being gives her a radiation of quality, dignity and self-respect (something to work towards).

Tips for the Lady life

  • Trust in the healing and regenerative faculty of the complex (the body).
  • Follow your intuition, your inner voice. Your ability to sense and empathise can never be sacrificed to any old dogma or trend. Be honest with yourself and recognise your needs.
  • The ‘Lady’ proceeds according to the vision and purpose of her life. This vision develops as she grows older, as the points of view and the decisions made along the journey gradually add to the meaning of her life. The foundation for good health is knowing what direction you want to go in your life.

One of the famous sayings of Marcus Aurelius Antonius (the Roman Emperor who lived from 121 to 161 BC) is, ‘You become what you think about’. After many centuries this wisdom is still valid. Our thoughts have a large influence on our being and thereby on our constitution, both physical and otherwise. Because we have the free choice to become who we want to be, we can consciously decide to develop an honest, decent and healthy life, a life of quality.

Although in this article we focus on the feminine gender, many of the tips are also valid for the masculine gender.
